What We Do

Optometry basically has two main elements:

Examination

The examination is where you have your eyes checked for their vision and health. At Heming Scott & Donald, we prefer to make a more thorough examination than you might be used
to, including corneal mapping, computerised visual fields and digital retinal imaging.

This means we have more information about the condition of your eyes, which gives us a much better understanding of your diagnosis and prescription.

Consultations

Dispensing

Dispensing is where you have any corrections made using spectacles, contact lenses, or a combination of both. Our expert optical dispensers will help you choose the perfect frames for both your prescription and your face.

As a completely independent practice, we are able to source a massive range of frames from around the world. From the fashion-forward to old favourites, you will find just the right frames for you.

Along with our prescription frames, we also stock a huge range of the coolest sunglasses from around the world.
